I hate that I’m forgetting cool memories. I’m not talking about childhood events or anything like that. It’s just that recently I’ve been doing a lot of reminising which has then caused me to realize that there are events and funny stories that I’ve nearly forgot! How terrible would it be to forget those neglected and yet cherished memories.
My foursquare days are one such memory.
While I was living in Lubbock with my much spoken about friend Jonathan and an unnamed angry chef we created a foursquare craze. We started by taking some ordinary masking tape and made a ghetto foursquare court on our matted down and stained carpet. We then went to Walmart and bought a tournament sized foursquare ball…and…well…the rest is history. For one month straight we played foursquare. It was mayhem, it was wonderful, it was a fluke. Seriously, every single night we played foursquare. At one point the line for next game went out of our living room, through the kitchen, and out our backdoor. We had all the typical rules. But to be honest, I can’t think of what any of them were! I remember that you couldn’t do a rocket (rockets are when you spike it down in anothe square), but asside from that rule my mind is blank. Sad.
I wish that I could communicate to you how incredibally fun it was to play foursquare. In fact, I miss forsquare a lot.
* Thats what came up when I googled foursquare…hmm…
Matt and I talked about a room mate game we played with a wire bookshels and some over-sized dice. We must've played for hours, but neither of us can remember much about it.
When our youth group went on mission trips, we always played Kiss and Tackle. That is the best game ever "It's so funny and violent". I completely remember how to play it- I was awesome at it. That and Suck and Blow.We had really bad names for games. But they were really fun!
1. Andrea, I had no idea you attended Porn Church.2. In 5th grade, I won the recess FourSquare championship, beating out reigning champion, Aaron Ford. It was especially sweet since I couldn't stand that guy. Pompous jerk. Oooh, I'm totally going to google him and see what he's doing now!
My favorite game was played with a 20 gallon garbage can full of bouncy balls, and the big practice room in the basement of the Musik Haus at Cascade.
Roni and I played 2 square at church one time when everyone was cleaning up. we then took the game outside and made up a new game in honor of the world cup:Voccor. It. Was. Amazing. Until the ball went on the roof. that wasn't cool.
But then Rouse monkeyed it down for us. Good times.
rouse as in ryan rouse? man. where is that guy?also, that rocks! the only tournaments we have going on in our place are poker tournaments . . . any one up for a game?
just to prove your theory about people always commenting on the last thing they read…is the feller in the upper right hand corner the iron giant?
it is indeed. P.s. Tab- we should get together one day before I leave and just ArtNerd it up. I think I can totally get Macaroni Dylan done in one day… Easily. And it'll look Goooood.
I got to play wicked 4-square with kids at camp last week. So fun.
There were no bobbles! Bobbles are where you get the ball under you hands and rather than hold it outright, you just kind of bobble it in the air until you have an opportune time to rocket it. You bobble, you are sent to the back of the line. Also, I think there were some rules as to what happens if it goes off the wall or couch or other furniture. Ah 4square. That was the only time in my life that I was popular.
I love a few things in life. It's not so much foursquare, but balls in general. Not in the male way! I mean, that's not what I was refering to for this particular comment… I also love reading funny people's comments. I f you can't be around all the funny people that you know, read what they write. Thanks to all you funny people!
I have been looking for sites like this for a long time. Thank you! » »
Teachers should tell some common rules to the students in class. They should tell them not to interrupt anyone when he is talking to the teacher. They should teach them to raise their hand when they want to get someone’s attention.
